Delivery & storage
Shipping and delivery
- Processing time generally takes 3–4 business days.
- Once your order is processed, we send it overnight using UPS or FedEx so it arrives quickly and safely.
- As soon as your shipping label is made, the pharmacy will email you a tracking number so you can follow your package to your home.
- For delays or changes, contact UPS or FedEx directly. YouthFuel and the pharmacy cannot make delivery changes.
Unboxing checklist
Please complete these steps immediately:
- Locate your testosterone cypionate vial, syringes, and any other medication bottle your provider prescribed.
- Find your invoice in the package.
- Compare the invoice with the items that arrived.
- Take a photo of the invoice and all items in the package. The pharmacy needs these pictures to help if anything is missing or if you require additional pharmacy support.
- Store the vial at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Inspect your medication
- The liquid solution must be clear, not cloudy.
- The solution should not contain particles or discoloration.
- Testosterone is thicker due to the carrier oil.
- If anything looks unusual, DO NOT use it. Take a photo of the vial and contact YouthFuel — we’ll send it to the pharmacy for review.

Administration guide
You will need
- 1 testosterone cypionate vial
- 1 syringe
- 2 alcohol swabs
- 1 gauze
- 1 sharps container (biohazard box, or an empty detergent jug or milk carton)
Part 1: Preparation
- Wash your hands with soap and water.
- Gather the supplies listed above.
- Remove the cap from the vial — you should see the rubber center.
- Wipe the vial’s rubber center with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
Part 2: Draw your dose
- Turn the testosterone vial upside down in your non-dominant hand.
- Remove the cap on the syringe needle.
- Draw back the needle without medication to your dose amount with air.
- Insert the syringe needle into the rubber center of the testosterone vial.
- Push the plunger in to add pressure in the vial, then draw your prescribed dose. Depending on the needle size, draw times may vary.
- Remove the needle from the vial and set the vial down.
Part 3: Inject your dose
Choose an injection site:
- Upper outer glute (recommended)
- Outer thigh
- Abdomen
- Upper shoulder / deltoid
To keep your injections comfortable and effective, rotate injection sites each week.
- Clean the area you chose with an alcohol swab.
- Hold the skin taut at the chosen injection area.
- Insert the syringe needle at a 90° angle into the muscle.
- Push the plunger until empty.
- Remove the syringe needle.
- Lightly press gauze on the injection site if needed — a drop of blood is normal.
- Dispose of the syringe in your sharps container.
Part 4: Putting everything away
- Put the cap back on the testosterone vial.
- Store the vial at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Throw away used alcohol swabs and wrappers in regular trash.
- Wash your hands again to keep the area clean and safe.
- Keep your vial, syringes, and sharps container together so they’re easy to find next week.
Storing your medication
- Keep your testosterone vial at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- DO NOT refrigerate or freeze.
- Keep the vial sealed until in use.
- Keep the vial in its original carton to protect it from light.
- Store away from children and pets.
Schedule & maintenance
Dosing schedule
- For men: inject twice weekly, every 3.5 days, as your provider prescribes.
- For women: inject once weekly, on the same day, as your provider prescribes.
If you miss a dose
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, within a few days of your scheduled injection.
- If it’s close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed injection and resume your regular schedule.
- DO NOT double dose to make up a missed dose — this can increase the likelihood of side effects.
Missing a single dose isn’t an emergency, but following the right steps helps keep your treatment consistent, gentle on your body, and minimises side effects.

As your medication begins to work, you may experience some positive changes. These are normal and mark progress in your health journey:

Common side effects
Most side effects are mild and often improve on their own, especially as your body adjusts and your hormone levels stabilise. Your provider will monitor your labs and symptoms to help keep you safe and comfortable throughout treatment. Side effects you may experience include:
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Mood changes or irritability
- Changes in libido
- Acne or oily skin
- Mild swelling or fluid retention
- Tenderness at the injection site
- Hair growth or hair loss
- Changes in cholesterol levels
- Changes in blood pressure
- Sleep apnea
- Weight gain
If any symptoms get worse or feel concerning, contact your provider.
Troubleshooting: common occurrences and simple solutions
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
Contact your provider through your YouthFuel account if you experience any of the following:
- My injection stings or is sore.
- My injection site is red, swollen, or mildly bruised.
- My injection site is itchy.
- My skin or hair feels different.
- I had trouble drawing my dose.
- I feel changes in my mood or energy.
- My hands, feet, or face feel swollen.
- I accidentally took more than prescribed.
How to reorder your medication
If you’re on a subscription: your card will be charged monthly or quarterly, and your medication ships automatically to your door.
If you’re not on a subscription:
