DO NOT freeze
Keep GLP-1 vial sealed until in use
Keep GLP-1 vial in its original carton to protect it from light

Inspect Your Medication
Liquid solution must be clear, not cloudy

You Will Need
GLP-1 Vial
1 Syringe
2 Alcohol swabs
Part 1: Preparation
Wash your hands with soap and water
Gather supplies listed in 'You Will Need' section
Remove cap from vial, you should see the rubber center
Wipe the vial's rubber center with an alcohol swab and let dry
Part 2: Draw Your Dose
Turn the GLP-1 vial upside down in your non-dominant hand
Remove the cap on the syringe needle
Insert syringe needle in the rubber center of the GLP-1 vial
Pull back plunger of syringe needle to draw your prescribed dose
Remove needle from the semaglutide vial and set the semaglutide vial down
Part 3: Inject Your Dose
Choose an injection site:
Abdomen
Upper outer glute
Side/Flank
Clean the area you chose with an alcohol swab
Pinch a small fold of skin on your chosen site
Insert syringe needle at a 90° angle into the pinched skin
Push plunger until empty
Remove syringe needle
Dispose of syringe in sharps container
Part 4: Putting Everything Away
Put the cap back on the GLP-1 vial
Place the GLP-1 vial back in the refrigerator (36-46°F)
Throw away used alcohol swabs and wrappers into regular trash
Wash hands again to keep the area clean and safe
Keep your vial, syringes, and sharps container together so they're easy to find next week
Schedule & Maintenance
Dosing Schedule
Inject once weekly, on the same day
Providers may adjust your dose every 3 weeks until you reach the best level to help manage appetite and cravings
Missed a Dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, within 5 days
If more than 5 days, skip the missed dose and resume with your regular schedule
DO NOT double dose to make up a missed dose, this can increase the likelihood of side effects
Missing a single dose isn't an emergency, but following the right steps helps keep your treatment consistent.

Common Side Effects
Most side effects are mild and often improve on their own, especially as your body adjusts or when doses increase. The most common are gastrointestinal, since semaglutide slows digestion. If any symptoms get worse or feel concerning, contact your provider.
